Shorewomen Drop Two at Dickinson
Kozemchak Now Within Seven Digs of 1,000

CARLISLE, PA -- The Washington College volleyball team dropped two matches at Dickinson College this afternoon. The Shorewomen (6-19, 2-7 Centennial) fell to the host Red Devils, 3-0 (30-24, 30-19, 30-28) in a Centennial Conference match and then lost to Gwynedd-Mercy, 3-1 (30-16, 30-27, 20-30, 30-28) in a non-conference match.

Junior outside hitter Katherine O'Brien (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) pounded down 18 kills in the loss to Dickinson, while senior middle hitter Nanna Kozemchak (Falls Church, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) tallied 15 digs and eight kills. Freshman setter Caitlin Ward (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity) added 29 assists.

Against Gwynedd-Mercy, O'Brien tallied 17 kills and 17 digs, while sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Crum (Newark, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) recorded 10 kills and 11 digs. Ward added 39 assists and four service aces, while Kozemchak piled up 21 digs. Kozemchak's 36 digs on the day brings her career total to 993.

The Shorewomen return to action one week from today with their season finale, a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference match at Muhlenberg.
