Shorewomen Soar Over Owls, 3-1
Three Players Set Career Marks in Victory

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Junior outside hitter Katherine O'Brien (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) registered a career high 27 kills and added 18 digs on her 21st birthday as Washington College downed Bryn Mawr, 3-1 (30-22, 33-35, 30-26, 30-20) in Centennial Conference volleyball action on Tuesday evening at the Cain Athletic Center. The Shorewomen (4-16, 1-5 CC) pick up their first conference victory of the season.

Freshman setter Caitlin Ward (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity) dished out a personal best 59 assists, while sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Crum (Newark, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) registered a career best 15 kills in the match. Senior middle hitter Nanna Kozemchak (Falls Church, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) led all players with 19 digs, and chipped in with 10 kills in the match. Sophomore libero Arielle Brown (Merion, PA/Lower Merion) chalked up 13 digs.

For Bryn Mawr (10-9, 0-6 CC), Julia Harris handed out a team high 37 assists and along with Elizabeth Sinclair led the squad with 16 digs. Lindsey Keiffaber was tops on the Owls with 14 kills, while Sinclair added 10. Katheryn Solook and Daniella Martinez had 13 and 11 digs respectively.

Washington College returns to action on Thursday, October 12, at Wesley for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
