Bullets Sweep Shorewomen
McConville Tallies Seven Kills

GETTYSBURG, PA -- Host Gettysburg College swept visiting Washington College, 30-22, 30-21, 30-19, in a Centennial Conference volleyball match this afternoon in Gettysburg, PA. The Bullets remained undefeated at 6-0 in conference play with the win and improved to 17-2 overall this season. The Shorewomen slipped to 12-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play with the loss.

Junior middle hitter Marcie McConville (Westminster, MD/Westminster) tallied a team-high seven kills for the Shorewomen. Sophomore setter Laura Shand (Sykesville, MD/Liberty) paced the Shorewomen in assists with 24, digs with seven, and aces with two. Freshman middle hitter Katherine O'Brien (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) added six kills and no errors in nine attempts for Washington.

The Shorewomen are back in action Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home match against Bryn Mawr.
