WC Drops Season's Final Match to Eagles
Kozemchak Records Double-Double

FREDERICKSBURG, VA -- The Washington College volleyball team lost its final match of the 2003 season today, falling to host Mary Washington, 30-26, 27-30, 30-22, 30-23, in non-conference action. Freshman outside hitter Nanna Kozemchak (Falls Church, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) had a double-double for the Shorewomen, pounding down 10 kills and scooping out a team-high 16 digs.

Kozemchak's 10 kills came in 24 attempts with only two errors. Sophomore middle blocker Marcie McConville (Westminster, MD/Westminster) had a team high 12 kills with only three errors in 27 attempts and also had a pair of solo blocks. Freshman setter Laura Shand (Sykesville, MD/Liberty) tallied 19 assists and added nine digs and two solo blocks. Senior setter Katie Orga (Wilmington, DE/Ursuline Academy) contributed eight assists and nine digs, while sophomore outside hitter Abigail Benson (New London, PA/Avon Grove) finished with 15 digs and eight kills.

The Shorewomen finish the season with a 4-27 record.
