29, 2003 BALTIMORE, MD -- The Washington College volleyball team lost to host Johns Hopkins, 30-12, 30-10, 30-27, this evening in a Centennial Conference match in Baltimore. The Shorewomen fell to 4-26 overall and finish conference play with a 2-8 Centennial record. Freshman outside hitter Nanna Kozemchak (Falls Church, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) and sophomore outside hitter Lauren Ford (Eldersburg, MD/Liberty) tied for the team lead in kills with three. Ford's two service aces also lead the team. Freshman setter Laura Shand (Sykesville, MD/Liberty) tallied 10 assists and had team-highs of two solo blocks and six digs. The Shorewomen close out their 2003 season with a 1:00 p.m. non-conference match at Mary Washington. |
