Froning Makes All-Tournament Team
WC Drops Pair of Matches at Stockton

POMONA, NJ -- The Washington College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the Richard Stockton Tournament today. The Shorewomen fell to the host Ospreys 30-18, 30-18, 30-22 and lost to Elmira, 30-14, 30-4, 30-14. Junior middle hitter Katie Froning (Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) was named to the All-Tournament team.

Richard Stockton 3, Washington College 0 (30-18, 30-18, 30-22)
Froning tallied eight kills, two solo blocks, and two aces as WC battled Richard Stockton. Junior setter Amy Milauskas (Ellicott City, MD/Seton Keough) added 15 assists, while freshman outside hitter Laura Greenback (Riva, MD/South River) notched a team-high eight digs. WC MATCH STATS

Elmira 3, Washington College 0 (30-14, 30-4, 30-14)
Froning led the team in kills again, this time with three, in the loss to Elmira. Sophomore outside hitter Theresa Pyzik (Baltimore, MD/Mercy) served a pair of aces. WC MATCH STATS

The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday when they welcome Hood College for a 7:00 p.m. game at Cain Gym.
