WC Drops Pair of Conference Matches
Ursinus is Next for Shorewomen

HAVERFORD, PA -- The Washington College volleyball team lost the first two matches of its Centennial Conference schedule tonight. The Shorewomen participated in a tri-match with Franklin & Marshall and host Haverford and lost to each team in three straight games.

Franklin & Marshall 3, Washington College 0 (30-13, 32-30, 30-10)
Freshman outside hitter Laura Greenback (Riva, MD/South River) recorded eight kills while making just one error in a match that saw the Shorewomen take the Diplomats to the limit in the second game. Greenback's 13 kills were also a team high. Junior setter Amy Milauskas (Ellicott City, MD/Seton Keough) and junior middle hitter Katie Froning (Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) each served two aces. Haverford 3, Washington College 0 (30-10, 30-22, 30-18)
Froning's six kills in this match led the Shorewomen, while Greenback tallied 12 digs and served three aces. Froning also made two solo blocks. WC MATCH STATS

Washington returns to action Wednesday with another Centennial Conference match, at home versus Ursinus. The Shorewomen will host their invitational tournament next weekend.
