Kurtz Named to All-CC Sportsmanship Team
Four Washington College student-athletes have been named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team for fall sports. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student from each fall program who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship. Nominations were submitted by the athletic departments or head coaches. This is the first year of the All-Centennial Sportsmanship team, which was proposed by the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Senior Mallory Kurtz (Willow Grove, PA/St. Basil Academy) represented Washington's volleyball team.

Twelve from WC Named to
Centennial Academic Honor Roll

Twelve Washington College student-athletes have been named to the Centennial Conference's Academic Honor Roll for fall sports. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior; a starter or key reserve on his or her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average. Four Washington College volleyball student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll. Junior Chelsea Crum (Newark, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) was a repeat honoree, while junior Arielle Brown (Merion, PA/Merion) and sophomores Caitlin Ward (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity) and Kelli Canada (Midlothian, VA/James River) each earned the distinction for the first time.

O'Brien Named All-Centennial
Garners All-CC Honors For Second Straight Season
Washington College senior outside hitter Katherine O'Brien (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) has been named to the 2007 All-Centennial Conference second team for volleyball in a vote conducted by the conference's coaches. She is the first WC volleyball player to earn All-Centennial Conference honors two times in her career as she garnered second-team honors in 2006.
