Daciek Wins at No. 1 Singles

LANCASTER, PA -- Host Franklin & Marshall College, ranked ninth in the Atlantic South region, defeated visiting Washington College, ranked 15th in the Atlantic South, 8-1, in a Centennial Conference women's tennis match this afternoon in Lancaster, PA. The Diplomats won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.

Freshman Allison Daciek (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) posted the Shorewomen's lone win in the match, defeating Katie Gaskins, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 1 singles.

"We lost a three and one-half hour, 8-1 match. We played well and competed well, but F&M was just better than us on the day," remarked Washington head coach Constantine Ananiadis.
