April 10, 2005 CARLISLE, PA -- Victories at first and third doubles and at first, second, fifth, and sixth singles gave visiting Washington College a 6-3 Centennial Conference women's tennis victory over host Dickinson this afternoon in Carlisle, PA. The Shorewomen improved to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play with the win. Freshman Allison Daciek (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) and senior Samantha Halpin (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) were 8-4 winners at No. 1 doubles, while junior Beth Foster (Lothian, MD/St. Mary's) and junior Lyndsey Beidle (Linthicum, MD/North County) won by an 8-6 final at No. 3. In singles, Daciek was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at No. 1 and Foster posted a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 victory at No. 2. Sophomore Erika Kayukawa (Gifu, Japan/St. Mary's Girls) cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5, while Beidle pulled out a 7-6(6), 0-6, 6-3 win at No. 6. The Shorewomen are back in action Thursday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home match against 25th-ranked Swarthmore. Match Results
