25, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College women's tennis team dropped a Centennial Conference match to 29th-ranked Swarthmore College, 7-2, this afternoon at Schottland Tennis Center. The Shorewomen slipped to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play with the loss. The Shorewomen won at No. 1 doubles, where juniors Ne'ko Browder (Bronx, NY/Herbert H. Lehman) and Shoko Nakamura (Osaka, Japan/Osaka Jogakuin) recorded an 8-2 victory. Washington's other win came at No. 2 singles, where Nakamura was a 6-3, 6-3 winner. The Shorewomen head to Johns Hopkins Thursday for a 3:30 p.m. conference match.
