16, 2002 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College Shorewomen slipped to 12-3 overall this season with a 6-3 loss to visiting Eastern Shore rival Salisbury this afternoon. Sophomores Ne'ko Browder (Bronx, NY/Herbert H. Lehman) and Shoko Nakamura (Osaka, Japan/Osaka Jogakuin) remained unbeaten at No. 1 doubles this spring at 15-0 with an impressive 8-6 win over Jody Coger and Sam Coldren, finalists at last fall's ITA Regional Tournament. Browder and Nakamura each won in singles as well to secure WC's other two points. Browder was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 1, while Nakamura was a 7-5, 6-4 winner at No. 2. The Shorewomen return to action tomorrow with a 3:30 p.m. Centennial Conference match at Bryn Mawr.
