WC Duo's Run Ends in Quarterfinals
of NCAA Doubles Tournament

SWEET BRIAR, VA -- Washington College sophomores Ne'ko Browder (Bronx, NY/Herbert H. Lehman) and Shoko Nakamura (Osaka, Japan/Osaka Jogakuin) were eliminated from the NCAA Division III Doubles Tournament in a quarterfinal match this afternoon at Sweet Briar College.

Methodist's Elena Blanina and Carla Simpson defeated Browder and Nakamura, 6-1, 6-3, ending the WC pair's 18-match winning streak. Browder and Nakamura advanced to the quarterfinals with a 7-6(5), 6-4 win over Stephanie Fong and Heather Cole of Amherst in a first round match yesterday.
