Dr. Dave Marshall

Dave Marshall, a 1988 graduate of Washington College, was named the head men's and women's tennis coach at his alma mater in July of 2007. A 2005 inductee into the Washington College Hall of Fame, Marshall was one of the forerunners of the Shoremen's emergence as a national power.

Marshall, a two-time conference champion during his collegiate tennis career at Washington College, was the first in a long line of nationally-ranked tennis players at Washington College and was the first WC player to record 100 singles and 100 doubles wins. In his post-collegiate playing career, Marshall has earned the USTA Delaware Pro of the Year award and won numerous USTA Delaware State Championships and USTA Middle States Championships. He is also a USTA National Champion.

The president of Dave Marshall and Associates, Marshall manages operations at 15 tennis clubs and has established Sea Colony Resort in Bethany Beach, DE, as one of Tennis Magazine's Top 50 Resorts and one of Tennis Resort Online's Top 15 Resorts. His guidance and teaching at Sea Colony has helped develop 105 state championship tennis players, 75 sectional champions, 25 USTA National Champions, and two US Open Qualifiers. He has sent 125 players on to play collegiate tennis.

In addition to his B.S. in History from Washington College, Marshall earned an M.S.M. in Human Resources in 1993 and a Doctorate in Educational Innovation and Leadership in 2002, both from Wilmington (DE) College.
