2009 CHESTERTOWN, MD - The Washington College swim teams held their annual triathlon to raise money for the fight against cancer on Saturday. The triathlon consisted of a 1,000-yard swim, a 10-mile bike ride, and a two-mile run. Twenty-nine swimmers took part in the event. Senior Dylan Pollock (Savannah, GA/Benedictine Military) and junior Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) were the top male and female finishers, respectively, in the event for the second straight year. Junior Matt Violette (Westbrook, ME/Westbrook), sophomore Ben Longwell (East Greenville, PA/Upper Perkiomen), and sophomore Ross Mills (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) rounded out the top four male finishers, while sophomores Morgan Phillips (Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle), Mary Stroman (Bala Cynwyd, PA/Friends Central), and Cassie Peart (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) rounded out the top four female finishers.
