Shorewomen Swim Past Dickinson, 124-80
Glasser Wins Three Events in Victory

CHESTERTOWN, MD - Host Washington College improved to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in Centennial conference meets with a 124-80 women's swimming victory over visiting Dickinson College this afternoon at Casey Swim Center. Freshman Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) won three individual events for the Shorewomen, who handed the Red Devils (5-2, 3-1) their first conference loss of the season.

Glasser won the 1000 freestyle in 11:05.31, the 200 individual medley in 2:18.51, and the 500 freestyle in 5:23.29. Senior Megan Morse (Easton, MD/Sts. Peter & Paul) won the 200 freestyle in a Washington college season-best time of 1:56.72 and the 100 freestyle in 54.27. Sophomore Kathy Gerhart (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville Area) added a first-place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:18.27 and a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 25.75.

The Shorewomen also won both relay events as sophomore Amy Smith (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville Area), sophomore Liz Thomas (Towson, MD/Notre Dame Prep), Gerhart, and senior Nicole Stanton (Columbia, MD/Hammond) won the 400 medley relay in 4:15.38, while sophomore Cailin Eisele (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township), Smith, Gerhart, and Stanton won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:48.41.

Senior Nicole Ludwig (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) was second in both the 200 individual medley (2:23.64) and the 200 breaststroke (2:36.71), while junior Brittany Siburt (Stevensville, MD/Kent Island) was second in the 200 butterfly (2:26.78) and junior Kimber Shoemaker (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) finished second in the 200 backstroke (2:19.40)

The Shorewomen return to action next Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference meet at Ursinus.
