May 23, 2007 CHESTERTOWN, MD - The Washington College women's swimming team has once again earned Academic All-American team status from the College Swim Coaches Association of America. To be eligible for the team award, an institution must have a grade-point average of 2.80 or higher. All swimmers who competed in any competition for the team are included in calculating the grade-point average for the team. The Shorewomen earned Academic All-American status for the 20th time. Their cumulative grade-point average was 3.16. Seventeen Shorewomen had GPA's above 3.0 for the spring semester, including eight who earned a spot on the dean's list. |
