Six Shorewomen Named NFCA Scholar-Athletes

STARKVILLE, MS -- The Washington College softball team has had six players named National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes for the 2006-07 academic year. Student-athletes must have a 3.5 grade-point average over the course of the academic year to qualify.

2007 graduate Beth Anne Hartman (Ellicott City, MD/Baltimore Lutheran), current seniors Tricia Carroll (Owings Mills, MD/Owings Mills), Kim Proctor (Ferndale, MD/Institute of Notre Dame), and Michelle Laque (Ocean Pines, MD/Stephen Decatur), current junior Emily Adams (Bethesda, MD/Bethesda-Chevy Chase), and current sophomore Sarah Claypool (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) qualified for the honor.
