No. 4 Salisbury Sweeps WAC
Proctor Goes 2-for-3 in First Game

SALISBURY, MD -- Fourth-ranked host Salisbury University swept a softball double-header from visiting Washington College this afternoon. The Sea Gulls, now 34-3 on the season, won the first game, 10-0, in five innings and posted a 6-0 win in game two. The Shorewomen fell to 16-14 with the pair of losses.

Freshman Kim Proctor (Ferndale, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) went 2-for-3 in the game one loss for Washington, while junior Diane Green (Milford, DE/Milford), freshman Amanda Campbell (Boothwyn, PA/Garnet Valley), and senior Andrea Braverman (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) each had a hit and a walk. Kareem Falcon homered in the game for Salisbury, while Lacey Lister pitched a shutout, allowing five hits and six walks and striking out nine batters.

Salisbury's Kristen Wells pitched a one-hitter in the second game, striking out five batters and walking two. Tee Dronenburg homered for the Sea Gulls. Freshman Bailey Manuel (Goldvein, VA/Liberty) recorded the Shorewomen's lone hit in the game and walked once. Freshman Tricia Carroll (Owings Mills, MD/Owings Mills) pitched the final three and one-third innings for the Shorewomen and allowed no runs on three hits and one walk.

The Shorewomen are back in action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference double-header at Dickinson.
