Shorewomen Swept by McDaniel
Harrigan Gets Pair of Hits in Opener

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting McDaniel College swept a Centennial Conference softball double-header against host Washington College this afternoon in Chestertown, MD. The Green Terror posted an 8-0 win in game one and recorded a five-inning 8-0 victory in game two.

Lauren Cramer went three-for-four at the plate with an RBI and run scored in the opener for McDaniel, while Megan Mitchell was two-for-three with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Freshman Tara Harrigan (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) led Washington with a two-for-two performance at the plate, while junior Laura Scimeca (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown) had a base hit and a walk.

Kim Camponelli, who picked up the game two win for the Green Terror, went three-for-three with a run scored and an RBI in the second game. Samantha Abrams was two-for-three with one RBI and two runs scored. Freshman Maria Hogg (Marriottsville, MD/Liberty) , sophomore Laura Mozzer (Tolland, CT/Tolland), and freshman Meg Lucas (Pasadena, MD/Northeast) each had a hit in the loss for the Shorewomen.

The Shorewomen (8-19-1, 3-11 Centennial) travel to fourth-ranked Salisbury Wednesday for a non-conference double-header beginning at 3:00 p.m.
