Marymount Tops Shorewomen, 2-0
Grier Makes Eight Saves in Loss

ARLINGTON, VA -- Host Marymount University scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 women's soccer win over visiting Washington College tonight at Wakefield High School in Arlington, VA. The Saints improved to 4-2-1 with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 3-3-1 with the loss.

Alisha Parker scored an unassisted goal at 38:31 to give the Saints a 1-0 lead at halftime. Dana Zalowski made it 2-0 with a header goal off a corner kick from Sonora Majkut at 54:33.

Lauren Harris made one save in the shutout for Marymount, while freshman goalkeeper Caroline Grier (Kennett Square, PA/Sanford School, DE) made eight stops for Washington.

Marymount held a 14-1 advantage in shots and a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks in the game.

The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Ursinus.
