Bears Down Shorewomen, 6-0

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Noelle Bisinger scored three goals and tallied one assist to lead visiting Ursinus College past host Washington College, 6-0, in a Centennial Conference women's soccer game this afternoon at Shriver Field. The Bears remained unbeaten at 6-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while the Shorewomen slipped to 1-4 and 0-2.

Two of Bisinger's three goals came in the second half. Elaine DiFeliciantonio, Chelsea Morin, and Amanda Leatherman each scored one goal for the Bears, who held a 2-0 halftime lead. Sarah Gardner, Nicole Papp, and Nicole Christian joined Bisinger with one assist each.

Ashley Potter and Lisa Clark each played one half in goal for Ursinus and recorded one save each. Freshman goalkeeper Amanda Frushour (Westminster, MD/South Carroll) made 11 saves for the Shorewomen.

Ursinus held a 23-6 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. game at Randolph-Macon.
