Mules Blank Shorewomen, 1-0
Frushour Makes Five Saves in Loss

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting Muhlenberg College scored the game's only goal in the 26th minute as the Mules defeated host Washington College, 1-0, in a Centennial Conference women's soccer game this afternoon at Shriver Field. The Mules improved to 4-8-2 overall and 3-5-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 2-10-1 and 0-7-1 with the loss.

Katie Amari accounted for all of the game's scoring when she netted a goal on a direct kick at 25:48. Muhlenberg held a 14-9 advantage in shots in the game, but Washington maintained a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

Kayla Boisvert and Shauna Henley each saw time in goal for the Mules in the shutout win. Boisvert made three saves in the first 60:38 before leaving the game with an injury. Henley played the final 29:22 and made two saves.

Freshman goalkeeper Amanda Frushour (Westminster, MD/South Carroll) made five saves in the loss for the Shorewomen.

The Shorewomen head to Bryn Mawr Tuesday for a 3:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game.
