Aggies Uproot Shorewomen, 3-1
McLoughlin, Faustini Connect for WC Goal

DOYLESTOWN, PA -- Host Delaware Valley College jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead en route to a 3-1 non-conference women's soccer win over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Doylestown, PA. The Aggies improved to 9-8-1 with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 2-12-1 with the loss.

Elise Dauber gave the Aggies an early lead when she received a pass from Ana Mecaj in the middle of the box and booted in the first goal of the game at 5:21. Delaware Valley's second goal of the first half came at the 11:54 mark when Christine Del Turco lofted a corner kick into the top right of the net.

The Aggies made it 3-0 at 51:44 on a converted penalty kick by Abby Worton. Washington got on the board at 86:08 as freshman Siân Faustini (Mansfield, NJ/Northern Burlington) sent a cross left to senior midfielder Colleen McLoughlin (West Chester, PA/West Chester East), who dribbled once and scored. The assist was the first of Faustini's collegiate career.

Emily Joyce made seven saves for the Aggies, while freshman goalkeeper Amanda Frushour (Westminster, MD/South Carroll) made eight stops for the Shorewomen.

The Shorewomen close out the 2005 season with a 2:30 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against McDaniel Saturday.
