26, 2005 BRYN MAWR, PA -- Host Bryn Mawr College defeated visiting Washington College, 2-1, in a Centennial Conference women's soccer game this afternoon in Bryn Mawr, PA. Washington senior midfielder Stephanie Bradley (Weston, MA/Kimball Union Academy) took sole possession of first place on the Shorewomen's all-time career point list in the loss. Michele Theroux gave the Owls (6-11-0, 1-8-0 Centennial) a 1-0 lead with a shot into the top right corner of the goal at 34:02. Bradley knotted the score at 1-1 with a breakaway shot into the left side of the net at 66:59. Caitlyn Clark scored the game-winner for Bryn Mawr at 72:35 when she booted in a goal. Bradley's goal represented the 39th and 40th points of her collegiate career, breaking the school record of 38 set by Meghan Hartzell from 2002-2003. Collette Pullion made 10 saves for Bryn Mawr, while Washington freshman goalkeeper Amanda Frushour (Westminster, MD/South Carroll) made six saves for the Shorewomen. Washington held a 15-13 advantage in shots, but the Owls held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks. The Shorewomen (2-11-1, 0-8-1 Centennial) are back in action tomorrow with a 3:00 p.m. non-conference game at Delaware Valley. |
