October 23, 2004 ALLENTOWN, PA -- Muhlenberg College scored three times in the middle of the game to post a 3-0 shutout win over visiting Washington College in a Centennial Conference women's soccer game today in Allentown, PA. The Mules improved to 10-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 2-10-2 and 0-7-1. Becky Armstrong gave the Mules a 1-0 lead when she scored on a penalty kick at 31:40. Amy Schmidt then put Muhlenberg up 2-0 before halftime with a goal off an assist from Maureen McLoughlin at 42:22. Elana Rabinowitz tacked on the Mules' final goal at 51:40 when she redirected in a wide shot by Armstrong. Muhlenberg goalkeeper Stacey Spector made six saves in the win, while Washington senior goalkeeper Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) recorded nine stops. The Shorewomen will play their final home game of the season Tuesday, a 4:00 Centennial Conference game against Bryn Mawr.
