October 6, 2004 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting Johns Hopkins University scored three goals in each half to top host Washington College, 6-0, in a Centennial Conference women's soccer game this afternoon in Chestertown, MD. Hopkins improved to 9-2-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 1-6-2 and 0-3-1. Kim Lane scored two goals to lead the Blue Jay offense. Lindsey Kimura, Kathleen Turley, Jessica McKenzie, and Laurie Baumann each scored one goal, while Jenn Sciarpelletti, Katherine Taft, Sarah Butler, and Laura Elgort each tallied one assist. Washington senior goalkeeper Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) became the Shorewomen's all-time leader in career saves in the game. Chapman played the second half and made 15 saves over the final 45 minutes to boost her career total to 332. Washington's previous school record for career saves was 319 set by Quin Bowman from 1998-2000. The Shorewomen are back in action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against 21st-ranked Gettysburg.
