October 12, 2004 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Twenty-third ranked Haverford College scored three goals in the second half to overcome a one-goal halftime deficit and defeat host Washington College, 3-1, in Centennial Conference women's soccer action this afternoon at Shriver Field. The Fords improved to 9-1-2 overall and 3-0-2 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 1-8-2 and 0-5-1. Washington junior midfielder Stephanie Bradley (Weston, MA/Kimball Union Academy) gave the Shorewomen a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal at 13:17. The Fords tied the score at 47:52 when Emily Hurwitz knocked in a rebound off a shot by Ryan Hedrick. Hedrick and Hana Rosen then assisted on the go-ahead goal by MeeJean Kim at 52:07. Sarah Morris added an insurance goal for the Fords at 73:54. Andrea Fishman made on save in goal for Haverford. Washington senior goalkeeper Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) made 16 for the Shorewomen. The Shorewomen are back in action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Franklin & Marshall.
