September 19, 2004 CARLISLE, PA -- Dickinson's Abby Snyder scored three goals to lead the host Red Devils to a 5-1 victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon in the Centennial Conference women's soccer opener for both teams. The Red Devils improved to 4-3-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while the Shorewomen slipped to 1-4 and 0-1. Junior forward/midfielder Katie Dulany (Mt. Airy, MD/South Carroll) scored Washington's only goal in the loss. Dulany gave the Shorewomen a 1-0 lead at 15:30 when she scored on a direct kick. Snyder tied the score at 28:34 and Lisa Nichols put Dickinson in front before halftime with a goal at 40:43. Snyder score her second goal off an assist from Martha Gidey at 54:39 and her third off a feed from Erin Parkyn at 58:04. Karen Berggren rounded out the scoring with a goal at 59:08. Dickinson held a 30-7 advantage in shots and a 5-1 edge in corner kicks. The Shorewomen will travel to Cabrini Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference game.
