7, 2003 STEVENSON, MD -- Senior forward Meghan Hartzell (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) scored both goals and junior goalkeeper Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) recorded her second consecutive shutout to lead the Washington College Shorewomen to a 2-0 victory over the host Villa Julie College Mustangs this afternoon. After a scoreless first half, Hartzell headed in a cross from sophomore midfielder Steph Bradley (Weston, MA/Kimball Union Academy) at the 54:56 mark to get the Shorewomen (2-1) on the board. Hartzell's second goal came at 73:18 off an assist from senior midfielder Jen Cox (Monkton, MD/Hereford). Chapman made eight saves to notch her fifth career shutout. Katie Rodriguez made four saves for Villa Julie (0-4), which lost despite holding a 15-12 edge in shots and a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 4:30 p.m. game at Catholic. Box Score
