11, 2003 GETTYSBURG, PA -- The Washington College women's soccer team dropped a Centennial Conference game to host Gettysburg, 1-0, this afternoon. The Shorewomen, who slipped to 4-7 overall and 0-5 in Centennial play with the loss, gave up a first-half goal, but stayed in the contest the entire way against the Bullets, who are 9-3 overall and are unbeaten in Centennial play at 5-0. Gettysburg's Jenny Line scored off an assist from Laurie Gow at 21:18 for the only goal of the game. Washington junior goalkeeper Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) made eight saves for the Shorewomen. Limiting the Bullets to one goal was a step in the right direction for the Shorewomen, now in their sixth varsity season. In the last two meetings between the two teams, Gettysburg had outscored Washington by a combined margin of 15-1. The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. non-conference home game against Wesley. Box Score Washington College 0-0---0 Scoring (Assist) Washington Saves - Jennifer Chapman
