Shorewomen Fall to Diplomats, 2-0
Chapman Makes 10 Saves

LANCASTER, PA -- The Washington College women's soccer team fell to 4-8-1 overall and 0-6 in Centennial Conference play with a 2-0 loss at Franklin & Marshall this afternoon. F&M improved its record to 6-5-3 overall and 3-3-1 in conference play with the win.

Both Diplomat goals came in the second half. Jeanette Finster scored off an assist from Amanda Zambrano at 49:17 and Kate Gardner scored an unassisted goal at 61:08.

Junior goalie Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) made 10 saves for Washington in the loss. Melissa Ruff made three saves for the Diplomats

F&M held a 22-3 advantage in shots and a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Shorewomen are back in action Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Haverford College.
