WC Ties School Wins Record
Shorewomen Down Wesley, 2-0

DOVER, DE -- The Washington College women's soccer team won its eighth game of the season today, shutting out host Wesley, 2-0. The win ties the school record for victories for in a season. The Shorewomen, in their fifth season of varsity play, are now 8-10 on the year.

The Shorewomen got on the board 8:30 into the game when junior midfielder Jen Cox (Monkton, MD/Hereford) scored off an assist from freshman forward Steph Bradley (Weston, MA/Kimball Union Academy). WC scored the game's only other goal 15 minutes later when sophomore midfielder/forward Carly Hankins (Pedricktown, NJ/Penns Grove) knocked in a goal off an assist from freshman midfielder Colleen McLoughlin (West Chester, PA/West Chester East).

WC sophomore Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) made one save to record her third shutout of the season.

The Shorewomen finish their 2002 schedule tomorrow with a 12:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at McDaniel.
