WC Drops Game to Hopkins
Chapman Makes Eight Saves

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College women's soccer team slipped to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in Centennial Conference play with a 4-0 home loss to Johns Hopkins this afternoon at Shriver Field. The visiting Blue Jays improved to 7-5-1 and 3-2 with the win.

Jen Sciarpelletti got Hopkins on the board at the 12:22 mark and Kathleen Turley followed with a goal at 29:04 to give the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead at the half. Turley added another goal in the second half at 46:32 and Brenda Bzdak rounded out the scoring at 67:24.

WC sophomore goalie Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) made eight saves in the loss. Hopkins held 21-3 and 7-1 advantages in shots and corner kicks, respectively.

The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Gettysburg.
