23, 2002 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College Shorewomen finished their 2002 home schedule with a 4-0 loss to visiting Haverford this afternoon at Shriver Field. The loss dropped the Shorewomen to 7-9 overall and 2-6 in Centennial Conference play, while the Fords improved to 10-5-1 and 4-2-1. Haverford's Katrina Julian opened the scoring off an assist from Amy Newshal at 8:05. The Fords scored again in the first half, at 20:42, when Lindsey Dolich scored off an assist from her sister, Caryn Dolich. Haverford added two more goals in the second half - one by Ashley Emmons at 56:28 and one by Sarah Fielding at 87:19. Fielding's goal was assisted by Lindsey Dolich. WC sophomore goalie Jennifer Chapman (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) made eight saves in the loss. The Fords held a 20-6 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks. The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 3:00 p.m. conference game at Muhlenberg. Box Score
