Shorewomen Fall to Bullets
WC Travels to Wesley Next

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Gettysburg College defeated host Washington College, 8-0, today in Centennial Conference action on Kibler Field. The Bullets improved to 8-3-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play, while the Shorewomen slipped to 7-7 and 2-3.

Seven different Gettysburg players scored goals in the win. Christina DiTucci, Jenny Line, Maggie Cirrito, Ashley Froman, and Leah Hyde each scored in the first period to give the Bullets a 5-0 lead at the break. Cirrito scored again to open the second half scoring and Katie Ferraro and Carla Roehrich each added goals in the period. DiTucci and Ferraro each picked up an assist as well.

WC senior back/midfielder Kelly McClure (Tucson, AZ/Sabino) led WC with two shots. The Bullets held an 18-6 advantage in shots in the games.

The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. non-conference game at Delmarva-area rival Wesley College.
