WC Drops Close One at Swarthmore
Higdon Makes Ten Saves in Loss

SWARTHMORE, PA -- The Washington College women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 Centennial Conference defeat today at Swarthmore College. The Shorewomen slipped to 2-6-2 overall and 1-3 in conference play with the loss.

The game's only goal was scored by Garnet Tide senior forward Jackie Kahn (Cohasset, MA/Cohasset) at the 48:00 mark. The Shorewomen had several chances to score throughout the rest of the second half, but Swarthmore (6-3, 1-3) held on for the win.

Sophomore goalkeeper Mandy Higdon (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) made ten saves in the loss for the Shorewomen.

Washington returns to action with a 4:00 p.m. home game against Delmarva-area rival Wesley on Tuesday.
