29, 2003 BALTIMORE, MD -- The Washington College women's rowing team won every race it entered at this morning's Caspersen Cup, an annual regatta between WC, Johns Hopkins, and St. John's (MD). The Shorewomen combined with their male counterparts to finish in a first-place tie with host Johns Hopkins in the cup standings. Washington's "A boat" finished first in the Cup's headline event, the women's varsity eight. The Shorewomen's "B boat" was third in that race. The Shorewomen also took first in both the women's freshman four and the women's novice four. The Shorewomen will compete at the Occoquan Sprints in Lorton, VA, on Sunday, April 6th. |
