Madore Named CC Defensive Player of the Week
Sophomore's Outstanding Play Helped WC to Win in Opener

LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College sophomore goalie Amber Madore (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 1st. Madore's outstanding play helped lead the Shorewomen to a 15-3 win over Frostburg State in their season opener Saturday.

Madore made seven saves and allowed just two goals while playing the first 50:13 of Saturday's win against the Bobcats. Madore is the first Shorewoman to earn a Centennial Conference Player of the Week award since Caitlin Beane was named Offensive Player of the Week in April 2007.
