HARDEEVILLE, SC -- Visiting Washington College raced out to a 7-0 lead in the first 12 minutes of the game en route to 16-5 women's lacrosse victory over host Savannah College of Art & Design today in Hardeeville, SC. Washington held a 9-1 halftime lead after outshooting the Bees (2-7), 19-1, in the first half. The Shorewomen scored the first seven goals of the second half to stretch the lead to 16-1 before the Bees scored the final four goals of the game to account for the final margin.

Junior midfielder Brittany Lambert (Riva, MD/South River) scored the final three goals of the Shorewomen's game-opening seven-goal run and added another goal later in the first half to finish the game with four goals and two assists. Freshman midfielder Caitlin Morrison (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood), one of three other Shorewomen to score one goal in the game, tallied her first career goal. Sophomore midfielder Allie Hanzsche (Catonsville, MD/Mount de Sales) handed out two assists.

Alli Johns led SCAD with two goals and one assist, while Nicole Mula added two goals of her own for the Bees. Kim Caltagirone accounted for the Bees' other goal.
