#3 Bullets Stop Shorewomen, 18-6
Jakub Scores Three Goals in Loss

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Third-ranked Gettysburg College built a 13-4 halftime lead en route to an 18-6 Centennial Conference women's lacrosse victory over host Washington College this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Bullets improved to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 4-2 and 0-1 with the loss.

Hollis Stahl scored four goals for the Bullets, while Jessica Crane had three goals and two assists and Katie Ceglarski finished with two goals, three assists, and seven draw controls. Krissy Browning netted three goals and one assist, while Jamie Giffuni added one goal and three assists and Lexie Hearn scored a pair of goals.

Junior attacker Suzie Jakub (University Park, MD/St. John's College, DC) scored three goals for the Shorewomen, while freshman attacker Sarah Cannon (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame Prep) scored two goals and assisted on two others. Sophomore midfielder Allie Hanzsche (Catonsville, MD/Mount de Sales) added one goal and one assist for Washington. Freshman midfielder Caitlin Morrison (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood) scooped up a game-high six ground balls and tallied three caused turnovers.

Gettysburg held a 38-19 advantage in shots in the game, including a 27-11 margin in the first half. The Bullets also controlled 16 of the game's 25 draws.

The Shorewomen return to action Thursday with a 6:00 p.m. game at Rowan.
