#14 Red Devils Outscore Shorewomen, 21-12
Eight-Goal Run Powers Dickinson Past Washington

CARLISLE, PA -- Fourteenth-ranked host Dickinson College scored eight unanswered goals during a stretch of 14:05 in the second half to take control of the game en route to a 21-12 Centennial Conference women's lacrosse win over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Carlisle, PA. The Red Devils improved to 9-4 overall and 5-2 in Centennial play, while the Shorewomen fell to 7-7 and 2-5.

Dickinson held a 7-6 lead at halftime, but Washington freshman midfielder Liz Cumberpatch (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis) scored back-to-back goals with 29:05 and 28:34 left in the second half, respectively, to put the Shorewomen in front, 8-7. The Red Devils opened their run 27 seconds later as Alysa Crellin scored off a feed from Dana Bunting to knot the score at 8-8. Dickinson then found the net four times in a span of 54 seconds to quickly take a 12-8 lead on a goal by Suzie Ko with 24:07 left. Crellin completed the Red Devils' eight-goal run with a goal off a feed from Abby Larson with 14:02 left to make it 15-8. Dickinson led by at least five goals the rest of the way.

Lexie Kob, Crellin, and Ko each had four goals and an assist for Dickinson in the game, while Lucy West scored three times and Larson had two goals and two assists.

Cumberpatch led the Shorewomen with five goals, while junior attacker Suzie Jakub (University Park, MD/St. John's College, DC) added three goals and one assist and senior midfielder Jenna Gouck (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) scored two goals.

Jessie Clark made 14 saves for Dickinson, while freshman goalie Amber Madore (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) made 17 stops for Washington.

Dickinson held a 50-30 advantage in shots and a 25-10 advantage in draw controls in the game.

The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with their home finale, a 6:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game against Ursinus.
