Fox Named First Team All-Region
Senior is First WC Player on First Team in Five Years

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Recently graduated Washington College women's lacrosse player Lindsay Fox (Laurel, MD/Atholton) has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III All-Metro Region first team as a defender. Fox is the first Shorewoman to earn all-region honors in four years and the first to earn first team all-region honors in five years.

Fox, who was also named to the All-Centennial Conference first team, started all 16 games for the Shorewomen and was tops on the team in ground balls (46), second on the team in caused turnovers (29) and third in draw controls (29). She finished third in the Centennial Conference and 47th in all of Division III in caused turnovers per game. She also had 10 goals and two assists for 12 points. Fox graduated as the school's all-time leader in caused turnovers with 103.

Washington had three players named to the All-Metro Region second team in 2003 - Janet Studdiford, Casey Sawma, and Lindsey Eichner. Betty Weller, whose school record for career caused turnovers Fox broke, was named to the All-Metro Region first team in 2003.
