Three Shorewomen Garner All-CC Honors
Fox Named To First Team, Earns All-CC For A Second Time

LANCASTER, PA -- Three Washington College women's lacrosse players have been selected to the All-Centennial Conference team in a vote conducted by the conference coaches. Senior midfielder Lindsay Fox (Laurel, MD/Atholton) was named to the first team, junior midfielder Brittany Lambert (Riva, MD/South River) landed on the second team and junior attack Suzie Jakub (University Park, MD/St. John's College (DC) earned honorable mention status.

Fox, a 2006 second team pick and named all-conference for the second time, started all 16 games and was tops on the team in ground balls (46), second on the team in caused turnovers (29) and third in draw controls (29). In conference-only games, she was first in caused turnovers per game (2.56) and tied for second in ground balls per game (3.44). In the nine conference games, Fox had 23 caused turnovers and 31 ground balls. She is the school's all-time leader in caused turnovers with 103. Offensively, the senior had 10 goals and two assists for 12 points. She is Washington's first first-team selection since 2004 when Janet Studdiford and Lindsey Eichner were both named to the first team.

Lambert, who started all 16 contests, earned all-conference recognition for the first time. The junior tied for the team lead with a career-best 51 points and had a team-best 19 assists in 2008. She was second on the team in goals with a career-high 32. Lambert was second on the team in draw controls (31) and third on the squad in ground balls (39) and caused turnovers (26). She was 11th in the conference in assists per game (1.19). This is the fifth straight season Washington has had a player make the second team.

Jakub gained a spot on the all-conference team for the third straight year. She was an honorable mention selection in 2006 and gained a spot on the second team in 2007. Starting in all 16 tilts, Jakub led the team in goals scored for the third straight season with 39. She added a career-high 12 assists for a total of a career-best 51 points. She tied for fifth in goals per game in conference-only games (2.56) as she pumped in 23 goals in nine Centennial contests. She also had a career-high 13 caused turnovers.

The three selections was the most for the Shorewomen since six were named All-Centennial Conference in 2004.
