Beane & Ruppert Named to IWLCA Honor Roll

CHESTERTOWN, MD - Washington College women's lacrosse players Caitlin Beane (University Park, MD/Elizabeth Seton) and Melanie Ruppert (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park), both recent graduates of the school, have been named to the 2007 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. All nominees for the squad must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and hold junior or senior class standing.

Beane scored 33 goals and assisted on nine others in her senior season, starting in all 17 games. She also tallied seven ground balls and eight draw controls.

Ruppert played in all 17 of the Shorewomen's games, starting in 16. She scored 19 goals and handed out 10 assists. She also recorded 18 ground balls and 19 draw controls.
