2007 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Host Washington College won its final game of the season as the Shorewomen topped visiting Bryn Mawr, 18-6, in a Centennial Conference women's lacrosse game this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen, who held an 8-2 lead at halftime, finish the season 7-10 overall and 3-6 in conference play, while the Owls fell to 3-12 and 0-8. The Shorewomen got four goals from senior attacker Caitlin Beane (University Park, MD/Elizabeth Seton) in the win, while junior midfielder Jenna Gouck (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) added three goals and one assist and sophomore midfielder Brittany Lambert (Riva, MD/South River) fired in three goals of her own. Sophomore attacker Suzie Jakub (University Park, MD/St. John's College, DC) and senior midfielder Lauren Sampson (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis) added two goals and two assists each. Senior midfielder Megan Block (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis) also scored two goals. Georgia Lawrence and Allison McMahon each scored twice for the Owls. Senior goalie Mollie Binotto (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) made five saves in the win for Washington, while Stephanie Hilton tallied nine saves for Bryn Mawr. Washington held a 38-19 advantage in shots in the game. |
