23, 2006 GLASSBORO, NJ -- Maggie Goodman scored six goals and assisted on another to lead host Rowan University to a 20-4 win over visiting Washington College this evening in Glassboro, NJ. The Profs improved to 4-2 with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 5-4. Katie Kline added five goals for Rowan, which held an 8-1 lead at halftime. Caitlin Messeroll contributed four goals and one assist for the Profs, while Kelly Angstadt scored two goals. Messeroll also scooped up a game-high five ground balls. Freshman attacker Suzie Jakub (University Park, MD/St. John's College, DC) scored two goals to lead the Shorewomen, while freshman attacker Sally Mancini (Ocean City, MD/Worcester Prep) and sophomore midfielder Jenna Gouck (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) each scored one goal. Rowan held a 36-18 advantage in shots and a 23-18 advantage in ground balls. The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Muhlenberg. |
