#5 F&M Downs Shorewomen, 17-8
Diplomats Score Game's First Eight Goals

LANCASTER, PA-- Fifth-ranked host Franklin & Marshall scored the first eight goals of the game en route to a 17-8 Centennial Conference women's lacrosse victory this afternoon in Lancaster, PA. The Diplomats improved to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 7-9 and 2-6 with the loss.

F&M, which held a 10-2 lead at halftime, got four goals and one assist from Shannon Summers and three goals and one assist each from Kiki Foster and Jen Pritchard. Kelly Cassels added two goals and two assists, while Sarah Meisenberg added two goals and one assist and Sloan Giampa tallied two goals.

Freshman attacker Sally Mancini (Ocean City, MD/Worcester Prep) finished with two goals and one assist for the Shorewomen, while junior midfielder Lauren Sampson (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis) and senior midfielder Erin Bollinger (Perry Hall, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) scored two goals a piece. Junior goalie Mollie Binotto (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) made 13 saves for Washington.

The Shorewomen will finish their 2006 season with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game next Saturday at 16th-ranked Dickinson.
