#16 Goucher Defeats Shorewomen
Eichner Scores Two Goals in Loss

TOWSON, MD -- Sixteenth-ranked host Goucher College scored the first 10 goals of the game en route to a 16-4 women's lacrosse victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Towson, MD. The Gophers improved to 4-3 this season with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 3-5 with the loss.

Ashley Snyder led Goucher with eight goals and one assist in the victory, while Whitney Groseclose added three goals and Katie Deming added two. Emily Blatter contributed one goal and one assist. The Gophers held an 11-1 lead at halftime.

Senior attacker Lindsey Eichner (Raritan, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) paced the Shorewomen with two goals in the loss, while sophomore attacker/midfielder Megan Block (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis) tallied one goal and one assist. Junior midfielder/attacker Erin Bollinger (Perry Hall, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) scored one goal, while freshman attacker Megan Rainey (Severna Park, MD/Archbishop Spalding) contributed one assist for Washington.

The Shorewomen return to action Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Swarthmore.
