Shorewomen Stifle Owls, 13-6
Bollinger Has Hand in Five Goals

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Junior midfielder/attacker Erin Bollinger (Perry Hall, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) scored four goals and assisted on another as host Washington College defeated visiting Bryn Mawr, 13-6, in a Centennial Conference women's lacrosse game this afternoon at Shriver Field. The Shorewomen, who held a 10-3 halftime lead, improved to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play with the win, while the Owls slipped to 3-4 and 0-1 with the loss.

In addition to Bollinger, three other Shorewomen scored multiple goals in the win as senior attacker Lindsey Eichner (Raritan, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan), senior defender Tarra Boulden (Newark, DE/Tower Hill), and sophomore attacker/midfielder Melanie Ruppert (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) each scored two goals. Sophomore attacker/midfielder Megan Block (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis), sophomore attacker/midfielder Caitlin Beane (University Park, MD/Elizabeth Seton), and junior attacker Kelly Gallagher (Columbus, OH/Dublin Scioto) each scored one goal for Washington. Boulden, Eichner, and junior attacker Liddy Campbell (Chestertown, MD/Gunston Day School) joined Bollinger with one assist each.

Sophomore goalie Nanna Kozemchak (Falls Church, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) played the first half in goal for the Shorewomen, making three saves and allowing three goals. Sophomore Mollie Binotto (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) played the second half and made four saves while allowing three goals.

Jen Lam led the Owls with two goals and one assist. Greta Flaherty, Zoe Fuller-Young, Courtney Black, and Millie Bond each scored once for Bryn Mawr, while Allison McMahon tallied one assist. Sarah Simons made eight saves for the Owls.

Washington held a 28-14 advantage in shots and a 29-19 edge in ground balls in the game.

The Shorewomen are back in action Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. game at 20th-ranked Goucher.
